Smart Stop provides accurate, motor-driven positioning for fabrication processes where consistent measurement and repeatability are essential. Designed for integration with saws, punches, drilling stations, and similar equipment, it enables operators to set stop positions quickly and reliably, supporting controlled setup and dimensional consistency during repetitive production tasks.

The system incorporates a shock-absorbing drive mechanism that allows the stop arm to retract safely if subjected to impact or unintended contact. Following such movement, Smart Stop automatically re-references and returns to the programmed position, helping maintain accuracy without the need for manual recalibration.

Smart Stop can be fitted or retrofitted to new or existing machinery setups, supporting improved workflow consistency and efficient part positioning across a wide range of production environments.

Smart Slip system

Smart Slip is a key operator safety feature that works without affecting production flow. If the stop is pushed, bumped, or leaned on during operation, it resists movement until a preset force is reached, then allows controlled travel to protect both the operator and the mechanism. When released, the stop automatically returns to its original size, maintaining accuracy.

 

If held for too long, the drive cuts out safely and prompts a quick rehome, ensuring the system stays correctly calibrated and ready for continuous use.

Touch screen HMI control

The touch screen interface allows operators to enter a size and have the stop automatically position itself with high accuracy. It removes manual measuring errors, speeds up setup, and makes the system easy for anyone to use. The screen also provides quick access to basic settings and safety functions, giving operators simple, reliable control of the Smart Stop.

Cut lists can be loaded directly into the system using either barcode scanning or USB import, allowing operators to move instantly between jobs without manually entering measurements. This dramatically reduces input errors and speeds up workflow, especially in batch production environments or where multiple sizes are required. Once a cut list is loaded, the Smart Stop automatically steps through each size in sequence, enabling fast job recall, consistent production, and seamless transitions between different operations with minimal operator involvement.
